In spring 2001 the association KUK (for communication, environment and culture) has taken care of the library. The department Schönberger Land put some rooms at disposal. In their leisure time the members of the association painted the walls, installed bookshelves and sorted books. From now on the old stock of books was increased, sorted out and new media was involved. Nearly 7000 pieces of media are at disposal. The offer streched from youth literature to classics, picture books, Spiegel-Bestsellers, listening books and cassettes.

Because of the documentation by PC the work is much easier for the reader, but also the faster in organisation. Regularly the team aranges guided tours; kindergarten, school and day nursery use this cultural facility for events, readings and other different projects. There are also music-events, organized by the KUK.
