The image of the town is developed and the appeal of the town is improved by means of public relations to reach a continuous increase of the population.

The town Schönberg declares its belief for the function as subcentre in the marginal zone of Lübeck and for the co-operation with the surroundings.

The town supports the establishment and development of companies in the business park and in the municipal district with the aim to manage jobs. Industrial business parks are established in the marginal zone of Schönberg. Manual work, business and services are established in the municipal district, provided that they don't reduce the residential amenity.

The housing stock is enlarged by means of reconstruction in the downtown and expulsion of residential districts in the marginal zone.

The preservation and management of opportunities for the tourism, the local recreation and the erection of of biking- and walking paths should be supported.

The town is activly and offensively influenced in the solution of nationwide traffic problems to aim a municipal traffic calming and preservate the available good traffic connection.

The development of new residential and business parks is combined with extension of pedestrian crossings and cyclepaths. Public transportation schold also be secured.

The town demands the nearby situated officially approved rubbish dump, that it prevents all negative consequences on the town and its surroundings.

The existing infrastructure shall be preserved and suited to the development of business and population. The preservation of schools, the expanding of day nurseries, the getting of living space for senior citizens and nursing facilities but also the guarantee of medical support are part of it.

The ecological development, the protection of nature, the use of alternative energies and especially the ecological building is obliged to be supported by the town Schönberg and considered in municipal projects, if they are not in contrast to the townscape and the puplic good.

The town supports the ecological-farming orientiation of farming firms but also forms of direct marketing and sustainable landscape management.

The town supports the existing club engagement and all activities developing the sporty and cultural offer. Schönberg also declares it's belief for their cultural historical development and contributes to the preservation of the folklore museum.
