In February 1992 manual workers, business men and women as well as freelancers met in Schönberg to discuss how to increase the interests of the middle classe in order of the puplic welfare. This discussion was the beginning, a constitutional meeting followed, the "business and middle classes organization" of the CDU was founded.

New interested firms joined and it was decided to be neutral and independent.

In August 1992 the WISU was founded as "community of interests of enterprises in Schönberg" including a committee and rules. The aim of the WISU is the organized fusion of business and municipal interested enterprises and persons. It wants to exert an influence on structure in business, in social fields and in society as well as in the development of the town Schönberg and its surroundings.

Now, the WISU consists of 35 members, who will elect a new committee in march 2005. This committee consists of 6 members, conducted by Mrs Ulrike Sacker. She replaced Mr Manfred Auraß and Mr Klaus-Peter Räsenhöft.

Apart from many informative events there are special events like the Chrismas market and some cultural events, e.g. the WISU-ball.
The WISU wants to be the mouthpiece of interested enterprises and freelancers and is open to ideas and initiatives.
